The Pre-Run:

Gentlemen, we all know that there are only 2 things one could possibly do at Queens Pier :-

1. Get onto a Junk
2. Get off a Junk

So quite why Emma Royde decided to start and end the run from QP is a mystery. We are all for new venues but lets just strike this one off the list. More of that later.

A smallish pack of about 4 had assembled by 6:30. Smallbone, Kiwi, Hugh Watt, Squeak and Coco. The ranks were swollen by a 2 WT (Strokes Pussy Like a Man and Tsunami Tits) guests and Lost in Space from Macau hash. Smallbone looked and sounded like he had spent the last 36 hours in Wanchai, which probably wasn稚 far from the truth. Tinks arrived with the piss but seeing the huge number of runners decided he could give this one a miss. Ice and Pussy strolled in late and be 6.45 the massive pack of 10 was directed off.

The Run:

Up over Gloucester Rd and towards the Lippo Centre and then Over Queens Rd to the Bank Of China. No checks ・obviously Emma Royde was just trying to get the pack out of Central quickly before he started any serious checking (ha). Ice & Pussy were already fighting it out at the front and were to continue a tit for tat chase for the lead the whole run.

However ・the first check opposite the Marriot ・though blindingly obvious whre it was going to Coco - was missed by the whole pack. While Ice and Pussy slogged off up Garden Rd and others into Queens Rd East Coco checked on up into HK park and found trail straight away. Being a decent sort of hasher he waited for Huw Watt to round the corner and called On (Ice ・to do this one turns to face the ensuing pack and shout in a loutish voice 徹N ON・. Huw Watt clearly had his hearing down low and required several attempts before steering him in the right direction.

Squeak apparently gave up at this point ・still suffering from something or other as he has been for the past few months ・and returned to make sure his San Mig was cooling nicely.

On up through the park, round the Brit Consul and up to Kennedy Rd. Check Surely ・but no ・chalked on left. Eventually a check at the top of Monmouth Path. Coco enjoying this rare spell out front immediately checked up toward Bowen Rd and soon found the On On. Ice eventually caught up at Bowen Rd and both were expecting a check but NO ・on right. At Borrett Rd surely a check ・but no. Straight on to Magazine Gap. Check ・you must be kidding ・straight on right down Magazine Gap Rd. And so it continued ・onto Robinson Rd and still no Checks. Pussy at this point caught up with Coco and eventually the 3rd check was found on the escalator link on Mosque Street.

And was there any chalk ・absolutely zippo. 5-10 minutes of checking and most of the pack had re grouped and were wandering aimlessly around. SPLAM eventually found some four down the hill and most of the pack (bar Ice and Pussy) followed. But as soon as the Soon was found chalk was lost again so Coco, Kiwi and Smallbone decided to head downhill and just keep going.

Kiwi痴 nose was put out of joint when SPLAM zoomed by and decided racing was in order and disappeared of down hill not to be seen again as he could not bear to be beaten in by a bit of WT.

As the rear end of the pack meandered it way home off chalk, Ice and Pussy apparently carried on jockeying for position. But then Ice was seriously distracted by a Bimbo in a T Back and left Pussy to it.

Most of the pack were back in 45, Pussy in an Hour and Lost in Space living up to his name strolled in around 1 hr and 15.

Apparently the trail went off to Western Market and on home via the Macau

Nice Run ? ・let the Ballot Box tell. A good stretch but a few more checks would have helped. But what the heck ・who goes hashing for the run.

The Pre-Circle:

Now ・back to why you only want to get on/off a junk at QP.

On return the pack was faced with the rear ends of about ten coaches, all with engines running gushing fumes into our nice covered area. At various stages Tourist boats arrived and went, dropping of their loads and causing a general disturbance for the duration. Enough said ・it won稚 happen again.

Camel had arrived during the run and as if the fumes from the coaches was not enough the Cigar smoking trio of Camel, Squeak and Huw Watt made the haze even greater.

The Circle:

As Smallbone had dubbed me in it as our 2 trusted scribes JO and STFU were both sunning themselves somewhere I was a little unprepared for making notes. Not to be beaten and old biro was found and the back of a San Mig box made do nor notepaper.

I now know why my teachers went on about my handwriting and spelling so rather than try and interpret I give you the raw material because I知 buggered if I can make sense of it.

Kiwi called the circle and Pussy was nominated Amah with Lost in Space as helper.
