The Pre-Run:
The pack "dribbled" in to (A) Hebe Haven Yacht Club ・not surprising given the long distance most had to travel.
Finally, at 7:10 p.m. the pack was sent on their way for a promised exciting run along new trails...
The Run:
No sooner had the pack left the start then Kiwi Sausage took a wrong turn and wasn稚 spotted till late in the run trying to catch up to Hugh What. There must be a story in there somewhere...
Of course, this being a Squeak run, the trail used every bit of previously used hash run. Fortunately, and most unusual for this hare, the markings were fairly good. So, despite any creativity or use of the word "On On", the pack was able to plod their way thru the streets and occasional off-road path.
Close to home, a un-called for, and useless extra loop was thrown-in. Spit or Swallow, just yards away from the finish, decided that he was off-trail and unfortunately went back to do the loop. This saved him from being first in, which would have been a first. Instead, he F*cked up and did the loop twice. Sorry B*stard.
(B) Turned out to be the well known pier at Kau Sai Sau Tsuen. Short-cutting Saddle was in first at about one hour, followed shortly thereafter by Cabbage, Smallbone, and Irish Spew. Some racing was observed as the trio came down the short road to the pier...
The runners were greeted by non-runners Jack Off, Caligula, Tinks and Pugak. The hare, in case anyone was interested, was no-where to be seen.
The back of the pack consisted of Smegma, Hugh What and DEAD LAST ・Kiwi.
At this point Squeak made an appearance, looking suitably smug and rested.
