THE HARE

Two Southside gentlemen preparing for the fat boy challenge, any guesses who?

The Pre-Run:

The Pre run consisted of various discussions about how you could successfully cheat on this special challenge with Caligula, U Watt, Squeak and STFU using up the ferry crossing coming up with dastardly and cunning plans none of which actually had a hope in hell of working but at least passed the time. Upon arrival this group along with Tinks and Rearender who had been lurking downstairs wandered round to met the Hare, Spit or Swallow, Smallbone, CocoReggie and Mcshite. A very late arriving Kiwi Sausage (after the pack were back) completed the group of intrepid challengers to SOS on his special run.

After completing the "weigh ins" and ensuring all the runners were properly handicapped (except Squeak, bad back, and Mcshite who decided not to run at all after finding out he couldn't even pick up the seventy pounds he would have been handicapped with) the Hare Cabbage informed us all that the run was fairly flat (thank god) and no longer than 45 minutes and set us off up the side of the main village.

The Run:

As promised the run was mainly flat as it meandered out through the villages and out into the marshland/farmlands beyond. Several checks kept most of the pack together with only Smallbone and SOS breaking away. Thus it was to be throughout the run with Caligula and STFU struggling somewhat with their 25 1bs plus penalties and Coco making his own route after hitting a falsie and deciding not to re-trace his steps. Some 33 minutes later SOS and Smallbone came home side by side (Smallbone later saying he just had to let SOS come in first) with the shortcutting Coco arriving soon after. Rearender defied his name being next in closely followed by U Watt, Reggie, Caligula and STFU who raced in ahead of Squeak to avoid being last in, only to find out Tinks was still out on trail. Kiwi as previously mentioned now started out on trail accompanied by Rearender who wanted to go around again (what has he been smoking).

The Circle:

At 20.50 Kiwi calls the circle. Amah nominations Mcshite, Coco and U Watt are relieved that Reggie is appointed Amah
Amah dressed and greased
HM	starts the circle in the usual way with the Hare Cabbage being castigated for good markings, not enough shiggy, too much shiggy, not enough pollution, too much road running etc, etc, etc proving you cannot ever satisfy the pack, but who the hell cares, the vote will tell all as usual.
HM	Tinks represents the RA – Too bloody cold
Amah greased
HM	SOS for winning his challenge but then hands his edible prize to 2nd placed Smallbone
HM	Tinks up next for being last in despite age dispensation leading to very small weight penalty
HM	Kiwi Sausage now officially a fit bastard as he only weighed in at 88kgs
Kiwi now takes over
Amah greased
KS	Rearender is called for getting the checks wrong whilst accompanying KS despite having been round already
KS	SOS is up for unsuccessfully trying to scare KS by jumping from bushes and pointing his thing at him
KS	Caligula is next in for leaving his honourary gentleman to walk with the lecherous KS on the recent NY day hash, silly man
KS	Smallbone is now in for not calling on the run, he claimed that he was that far ahead no-one would have heard him!!
KS	Mcshite is now ridiculed for being too light to do this challenge
KS	Squeak is reminded that he did actually wear hash gear last week
BACK OVER TO HM
Amah greased
HM	Rearender is exposed (no U Watt didn't get over excited) the reason for him doing so well was due to him standing around at all the checks waiting for others to solve them.
HM	Mcshite is in as non runner and Cabbage is asked to join him as he only hared to avoid carrying 60 lbs.
Cabbage stays in to dish out some charges
CB	Coco for stupid comment of the week "where will we get sand to fill the weight bags?" doh, we are on a beach Coco!!
CB	Mcshite is now abused for being far too clever by buying a beanie/tea cosy on his way in to the run, well it was bloody cold
CB	Squeak is congratulated for ingenious use for left over cable ties, tying up his honourary gentleman.
HM takes back control and asks for Awards (see table below) then gives the circle over to Reggie
Amah greased then greases himself claiming to be very thirsty
RG	Reggie's 1st victim is STFU for talking to him about running shoes instead of where the best shags were to be had in Wan Chai
RG	SOS and KS are called in for being boring bastards (didn't here the reasoning too busy watching some pretty young thing walk by)
RG	Mcshite should be removed from the RS2H3 as he is obviously to wimp like
RG	SOS is next in for worrying about having too much beer for the circle, you cannot have too much beer ever ok!!
RG	Rearender is now berated for screwing school girls, how does Reggie know they were school girls anyway?
RG	Kiwi Sausage is now accused of leaving the running group on a previous run to chat up a bunch of honourary gentlemen, cannot see what is wrong with that myself, sounds like a true Southsider
Reggie now returns to role of Amah having greased himself once more
HM now asks for any announcements
	KS Gives details of Pugak's forthcoming Stag weekend in Zuhai on the 21st of January (full details by e-mail next week)
	Caligula gives details of next weeks run at Hong Kong Cricket Club
	Rearender announces he has not had a cigarette for 10 days
	SOS announces the ON ON at the usual sea-food restuarant
Amah degreased
