Santa Hash 2002 Another Classic In The Southside Style |
![]() |
|
Santa Hash 2002 was arranged and managed by the Southside in their own inimitable style. Preparations began in June with the first flyer advertising the event. This was followed by a long period of inactivity and abject panic as December started to loom, this resulted in several more flyer being produced to the point where the other hashes must have been sick of the subject: These flyers were supplemented by webpage propaganda as below and helped to generate enough interest for a bumper turn out. Results of the day were impressive with possibly the highest ever contribution being made to charity and so thanks is due to all who participated. With Christmas fast approaching and diaries beginning to fill up for the 'silly season' there is one date that you need to keep clear: 8th December 2002 Note sure of when the 8th is?? - Check out the Southside Christmas Countdown!! Yes, Santa Hash this year will be held on at 2:30pm on 8/12/02 at the superbly situated venue of Quarry Bay School. With easy access to Braemar Hill good trails can be expected from our hares Coco, Moose and Dribble. This year the Santa Hash will have all the things that are to be expected: good runs, beer, softies, skits, live music, dancing girls(!), raffle prizes, Shaffi's curry and of course fun! With all the proceeds going to Operation Santa Claus you can booze and talk the afternoon away without needing to feel guilty - and that hangover the next day will remind you that you have done your part to help local charities this Christmas. Entry to Santa Hash will be $80 (Children 0-5: Free, Children 6-16: $50), and all hashes are welcome - indeed hashes are invited (if not expected) to prepare a skit to assemble the assembled masses as the afternoon wears on. As usual quality festive hash stash will be available (while stocks last) for an additional $120. For further details please see the current flyer. |
