CU Jimmy's On Home Tour to Shekou will be held on the weekend of Saturday, July 27 2002.

With memories of the Argentine Troosers still fresh in our minds this promises to be a tour to remember, and with the widely varied travel requirements of the pack a logistical night mare as well......

The 'official' part of the tour will occur on Saturday when the pack will run with the Shekou hash -, meeting at the Snake Pit at 2:30 PM (Gut Glut/MacShite - take note!). We will return from the run at ~6:30 PM, and then regroup at 8:00 PM for the official FOYC meal.

As there will be a number of splinter groups arriving and departing over the course of the weekend, here is some ferry info:

Ferry to Shekou (approx $100 each way):
11:30 (MFT) Macau Ferry Terminal
13:30 (CFT) China Ferry Terminal
15:15 (MFT), 16:00 (CFT), 17:45 (MFT), 18:50 (CFT), 21:00 (MFT)

Ferries back to Hong Kong are every 90 minutes. The last ferry leaves at 21:30 to MFT.

Accommodation will be in the Hai Tao Hotel (down the road from the expensive Nan Hai Hotel and across from the Red Rooster). This is a 5 minute walk from the ferry terminal and rooms cost RMB 312 a night including breakfast.

Five rooms are reserved for Friday night, and 10 rooms for Saturday. Contact Camel if you want to hold a room or two.

Oh, finally - remember that visa's are needed for China - and that if you are a UK citizen you CANNOT get one on arrival.....
