So, the storms held off (well, up until the point when the RA appeared at dinner!). A sunny, clear, HOT day in Coloane afforded great views from the hills around the Pousada.
We had a higher than anticipated turnout, with 91 runners/attendees plus a number of ankle biters (that’s a reference to kids, by the way, not the mosquitoes who were also out in force) and over 80 at the bash. Runners in attendance came from HK (obviously), Macau (of course), Shekou & other parts of China, Thailand, Singapore, and the USofA.
Sunday’s 2001st “hangover run” (for those who didn’t have one the previous day!!) had 32 attendees.
An excellent weekend overall, with over HK$3,500 of beer and softies consumed during the 2 Circles. All 2000 Run stash was sold and Hash Stash offloaded a lot of other stash - even to the extent that beer koozies were being compulsorily seized from Southsiders to sell to our visitors - although our GPS/Compass watch sales were a little slow.
So a big thanks to the 2000 Run committee for arranging, to the tireless Pousada staff for hosting us, and to everyone who joined us for the weekend. On on to the 3000th!!
